IMPACT Board, Continued

Additionally, there is one TMA Alliance member, one Young Physician Section representative and a resident student member.  The Board is responsible for both raising funds and for reviewing and approving campaign contribution requests.  Board members often attend campaign fundraisers and deliver IMPACT contribution checks.  The Board is advised by TMA lobyyists regarding how a legislator votes on Capitol Hill and how supportive they are of healthcare issues.  IMPACT contributions are primarily targeted to friends on important committees and, to a lesser degree, to those in leadership roles.
